Valley Store closed on Saturday, August 15

Our Valley location will be closed on Saturday, August 15 so we can attend the funeral of our "Mr. Fixit" who helped build Bruttles.  Our Downtown location will be open normal hours.  Sorry for the inconvenience. 

Obituary: Kensok, Raymond James

Age 91

KENSOK, Raymond James Passed away peacefully on August 4, 2015. He was born on June 4, 1924 in Windsor, North Dakota to Peter and Frances Kensok. He later moved to Spokane where he graduated from Gonzaga Prep. He enlisted in the Navy June of 1941. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor the day of the attack and assigned the USS Curtiss and USS Swan. He transferred to the Air Force in 1958. He proudly served his country for over 21 years. He was the first Captain at the Spokane International Airport Fire Department. He served as a Captain for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and four brothers; Edward, Gerald, Bruno and Joseph and one sister, Bernadette. He married Patty Skinner in 1948. Together they raised two daughters, and was survived by Sharon Rae Kensok, Carol and Hal Measel; grandchildren: Amy and Keith Vensland and Jeff and Jessica Measel; great-grandchildren: Hunter Vensland, Gabriella Vensland, Jacob Measel and Jersey Measel. Ray was happiest at his lake home at Twin Lakes Idaho for 53 years and in his workshop. He was the “go-to” fix it guy at the lake. He will be missed by many lake friends. Thank you to all who spent time caring for our Dad in the last month. A special thank you to The Hospice House South. Funeral services celebrating Ray’s life will be at 11:00 am Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by a graveside memorial at St Joseph’s Cemetery.
